Did you know that only 12 women in its more than 100 year history have been recognise with the Nobel Peace Prize? Six of those women – representing North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa – established the Nobel Women’s Initiative in 2006.

The have come together in a united effort for peace with justice and equality. Their initiative is to help strengthen the work already being done in support of women’s rights around the world. The Vision of the Nobel Women’s Initiative is a world transformed, a nonviolent world of security, equality and well-being for all.
